On October 21, my work took me and a coworker to Southwest Houston. Before going out there, I did some research and discovered this restaurant was about 10 minutes from where we were working. We arrived and I knew I was in for a treat. It just looks like a burger place from the outside. Neon lights and a wood facade, amongst other things. I noticed they had a buffalo burger on the menu, but I decided not to go with it that day. I went with my usual, the bacon cheeseburger. We ordered and after a small wait, we received our food. I immediately noticed the abundance of bacon on the burger. It was abundant, but it was a little tough. Not that it mattered too much. The hamburger patty was seasoned well, as I like. The burger overall was good, but it was just an above average burger. I guess in my mind I built it up too much based on the building from outside. It was good and I'd definitely go back again, but it definitely wasn't perfect. The fries are homemade and fresh. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being The Perfect Burger, I give Texas Hamburger Palace an 8.
